What an amazing event this was! We went with a group of people and all shot different concepts together in Manitoba's famous desert, the Spirit Sands.

We woke up bright and early, hitting the road just before 7am (Tim Hortons in hand, of course). By the time we arrived it was around 9am, but we still had a 2km hike to get to the dunes. Luckily it was early enough that the record high heats we've been having this month hadn't taken full effect. There was even a sign warning us to turn around! Steve brought a wagon FULL of costumes and photography supplies, which we had to pull up and down slopes until we hit our destination.
Once we settled, everyone branched off and shot! It was so great getting to collaborate and work around other creative Winnipeggers.
Steve captured a great BTS shot of us working together to get Sveta's fabric to drape artistically across the frame.
I went to Fabricland to grab 5 Meters of sheer black drapery for this shoot. The cost was surprising but worth every penny.
